HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR KAPOWS

Love your Kapows and they’ll love you back. Here’s how to look after your new meggings.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

For meggings from the ORIGINALS, PERFORMANCE, PERFORMANCE-PRO SUPREME, THREE-QUARTER and COMPRESSION SHORTS ranges.

  1. Turn the meggings inside out.
  2. Use a small amount of mild detergent. A few drops will do.
  3. Machine wash cold on the Gentle or Delicate setting. Wash separately. For best results, place in a washing bag.
  4. Drip dry flat in the shade.

For meggings from the METALLIC, HOLOGRAPHIC, WET-LOOK and SPECIAL MATERIAL ranges.

Our metallic and special fabrics are treated for color-fastness, however the better you care for them, the longer life they will have. We recommend avoiding over-washing. Most times all you need is to dust them off and you’ll be good to go!

To gently hand wash:

  1. Turn the meggings inside out.
  2. Swish around in the sink or a tub of cold water with a drop or two of mild detergent. Never rub, twist or scrub the fabric.
  3. Rinse in cold water.
  4. Drip dry flat in the shade away from direct heat or sunlight.

Due to the unique printing process, the metallic print may dull over time. Avoid rough or abrasive surfaces. When storing, hang them up.

THINGS TO AVOID

  • Avoid excess contact with suntan lotions, deodorants, make-up, perfume and harsh chemicals such as petrol.
  • Do not tumble dry or dry clean.
  • Do not iron (not that you’ll ever need to.)
  • Do not use fabric softener. It leaves a residue on spandex that can dull the finish and attract bacteria that causes a funky smell.
  • Never use chlorine bleach to whiten or remove stains. It will destroy the spandex fibers.
  • Do not pack or store when wet.

HOW TO REMOVE STAINS FROM YOUR KAPOWS

To remove stains, tackle right away. Dab or soak in cold water (never hot as this can set the stain.) Apply a few drops of mild liquid detergent and give it a gentle rub (no scrubbing!) then follow the washing guidelines above.

Boom! Now you know how to look after your Kapows. Rock on, homey.
